The quiet side of the south coast.
Blue Bay is a gated beach community on the south coast, about ten minutes west of Willemstad. A single road leads down to a sheltered swimming bay, with an 18-hole golf course on the same premises.
It is quieter than Jan Thiel or Mambo Beach, and further from the restaurants and bars of Pietermaai.
It suits families with young children, golfers travelling with non-golfers, and couples staying longer in a quieter setting.

The atmosphere
A day in Blue Bay.
Morning
The bay is usually calm early in the day. Tee times start at Blue Bay Golf and the beach club sets out loungers.
Afternoon
The shallow water and shaded seating are the focus of the afternoon, with lunch served at the beach restaurant.
Sunset
The headland above the bay faces the sunset and is a short walk from the beach. Dinner service begins at Nemà and the golf clubhouse.
Evening
Evenings inside the gate are quiet. For a later night, Pietermaai and Mambo Beach are a drive away.

A small beach-club bay just west of Blue Bay, with swing seats in the shallows, lunch and sunset drinks.
Piscadera Beaches

A few options on site. More a short drive away.
Blue Bay isn't a restaurant district. It has a handful of options on the premises, with more restaurants on the south coast within about fifteen minutes' drive.
